JAMES CALLERI is the owner of Calleri Casting with partners Paul Davis and Erica Jensen where they cast theater, film and television. He has worked at Lincoln Center Theater, ABC Television, and was the Casting Director for Playwrights Horizons for 10 seasons. He holds an MFA from UC Irvine where he studied under Robert Cohen and Jerzy Grotowski and is a graduate of Trinity University. James is currently on the adjunct faculty of the NYU Tisch Graduate Acting Program and a faculty member of The Tepper Program through Syracuse University. James is the co-author with Robert Cohen of ACTING PROFESSIONALLY: RAW FACTS ABOUT CAREERS IN ACTING published by Palgrave MacMillan, one of the leading books in the country for young actors. He has taught at schools all over the country including North Carolina School of the Arts, Penn State, Florida State, U. C. Irvine, and the Asolo to name a few. He is on the board of the Casting Society of America. And resides in New York City and Saugerties, New York.
