For 20 years he has been the artistic director of the Vineyard Theater, a small downtown company known for producing world premieres of plays like Edward Albee’s “Three Tall Women” and Paula Vogel’s “How I Learned to Drive,” as well as the more recent Broadway musicals “[title of show]” and “Avenue Q.” While this would seem like an all-consuming job, Mr. Aibel wears a second hat as a casting director for Hollywood movies.
